1. Information we collect
When you submit an inquiry, we may collect your name, work email address, organization, phone number, city, class size, course interest, preferred timing, and the message you choose to provide. If you submit a readiness review, its answers, score, and suggested service accompany the inquiry. Campaign labels and referring/landing pages may also accompany forms. We may also receive ordinary technical information associated with website delivery, such as IP address, browser or device type, referring page, timestamps, and security or server logs.
2. How we use information
We use information to respond to inquiries, evaluate requested services, communicate about potential or active engagements, operate and secure the website, maintain business records, comply with law, and protect our rights and users. We do not sell personal information.
3. Service providers and sharing
The contact form is transmitted through FormSubmit, a third-party form-processing service, and delivered to our business email provider. Cloudflare hosts the website. FormSubmit and our email provider process submitted form contents and delivery metadata. AcuityForge and VEC Academy are separate services with separate accounts and privacy notices. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect safety or legal rights, in connection with a business transaction, or with your direction or consent.
4. Cookies and analytics
We also keep first-party, unlinked browser page-load and server-request counts with page paths, referral domains, campaign labels, device categories, and any host-provided approximate location. If you allow analytics, first-party cookies connect pages, clicks, and actions into visit histories and recognize returning browsers. If you sign in with ChatGPT, that opted-in visit may show the email supplied by the sign-in platform; anonymous visits do not reveal a name or email. Browser privacy signals disable detailed visit tracking.
For opted-in analytics, your browser may contact IPWHOIS.IO over HTTPS to obtain an approximate IP-based country, region, and city. That provider receives your network IP; our traffic records store only the estimate, not the raw IP. The request sends no page referrer or account details. VPNs and mobile networks can affect accuracy. Analytics records expire after 90 days with request-driven cleanup. Declining analytics clears visit cookies and keeps only unlinked counts. We do not capture form contents, passwords, query strings, or make screen recordings.
Optional Google Analytics loads only after you choose Allow analytics. Declining analytics does not prevent inquiries, scorecards, or navigation. You can change your choice using Analytics preferences at the bottom of any page. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies and process information such as pages viewed, approximate location, referral source, browser or device information, and interactions with website content. We use this information to measure outreach, improve the website, and understand which services interest visitors. We exclude form contents, readiness answers/scores, and URL query strings from analytics events, and we do not use website analytics to sell personal information.
Google processes analytics information under its own privacy practices. You can learn more through Google's Privacy Policy and may use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. You may also limit cookies through your browser settings, although doing so can affect some website functions.
5. Retention
We retain inquiry and business information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, including responding to requests, maintaining appropriate business records, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, and meeting legal obligations. Retention periods vary according to the information and context.
6. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the information we handle. No website, email transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Please do not send information that is unnecessary for an initial business inquiry.
7. Your choices and requests
You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information associated with an inquiry, subject to legal and recordkeeping exceptions. You may also ask questions about our privacy practices by emailing info@veteranemsconsulting.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
8. Children
This business website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through it.
9. External links and international access
Third-party websites have their own privacy practices. If you access this website or submit information from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your location.
